Only God can fill the space between them and make their coexistence possible. The only way to stop aggression or war is for both parties to be on equal footing. The concept of mutually assured destruction or MAD is a true deterrence for war. Leave man to his own device and he will trample on his brothers right. Without the constraint of his fellowmen to keep him in check, without restraint a man will succumb to the pull of his lower nature. Had Israel had its way, it would have destroy the whole country of Lebanon, nuke them if necessary. They would have done so because they are human. Self preservation is a powerful human motivation as it is the need for recognition. Fundamental Islam is fueled by a need for recognition and Zionism is fueled by a need for self preservation. The only deterrence against Israel is for the Arab to attain the same level of existence as the Israelites. But that cannot be. The problem with the Arabs is that they are too far behind the Israelites. They lag behind because they are not quicken in their thinking. Their life style is too rigid, not flexible enough to allow their people to become creative; their human spirit to grow and express its creative side. They lack the cognitive ability, the intuitive capacity and the inspiration necessary to master their environment. They are stuck in the past, they cannot take the shift with the times. The Israelite on the other hand have made great stride in technology, science, art and medicine; their industries flourish. They are self reliant. I say that it is the law of the jungle for the weaker species that cannot defend themselves to be eaten by the stronger ones. I suggest that the Arab forgo their way of life or revamp their life style so that can make the necessary adjustment. They need to open their world, become more fluid, more flexible, less stuck into the past so that they can tap the higher levels of human possibilities where they can find inspiration and intuition to solve their problems.

At casual observance one can say that there is an unspoken truth behind the human condition that exists in the Middle East; every Middle Eastern born rather poor or rich, male or female, educated or not, he or she wants to be acknowledged. There is an all pervasive and consuming anger that is all imbedded in the psyche of the Middle Eastern born, one can summarize that this human condition as a displaced ego; a bruised ego that is in need to be healed. There is a state of fixation in the Middle East that is fueled by this need to be acknowledged, this fixation distorts the Middle Eastern born sense of self and ability to conform to reality. How do you reason with someone whose sense of self is distorted by fixation? Jesus is the answer. Right identity is the solution. Jesus said that: “Blessed are those that are not so easily bruise” He came to set at liberty those that are bruised; free them from their state of fixation or there ever driven need to be acknowledged. There is a common tread that underlined all conflicts in the world; the situation in the Middle East is no different. Applying the formula H = a / n can help simplify the situation in the Middle East and bring to light the one cause behind it. There are conflicts in the world because we are living in an adversarial system. We are driven by impulses and behind these impulses are forces that seek to restrain us or propel us forward. These forces create disparities between us and these disparities help create gaps that separate us until these gaps become spaces that are too wide for us to fill. Christ fill the space between us and make our coexistence possible. Right identity is the solution, to be or not to be
